摘要:Working memory (WM) is the global workspace for most cognitive functions. WM capacity is severely limited but the representation of WM could be flexibly manipulated across trials and conditions. I will review several recent findings in my lab about how working memory representations are altered dynamically. First, covert attention induced by exogenous or endogenous cues led to different effects on working memory precision. Second, retrieval order and autonomy also affected the precision of working memory. Third, reward and punishment cues affected the precision of working memory and the effects depended on the magnitude of the affective information. Last, non-invasive brain stimulation could enlarge working memory capacity. Together, representations in working memory could be influenced by distinct factors at different time stage. Therefore, suitable ways of attention, motivation, intervention will benefit working memory process and facilitate cognitive functions.


报告人简介:库逸轩,现任华东师范大学教授、博士生导师,并担任华东师范大学-纽约大学脑与认知科学联合研究中心(上海纽约大学)客座研究员、深圳大学心理与社会科学学院兼职教授。本科和博士毕业于清华大学,在加州大学旧金山分校完成博士后。主持多项国家级和省部级课题,上海浦江人才计划,国家973课题的课题骨干,国家社科基金重大项目子课题负责人。主要从事工作记忆的认知神经机制研究,在国际知名的SCI/SSCI期刊上发表论文30余篇,其中通讯作者成果发表在Brain Stimulation, Cerebral Cortex, Journal of Neuroscience等杂志,并担任国内外知名期刊、中国和美国的国家自然科学基金的外审专家。
